As previously rumored, SOCOM Confrontation developer Slant Six Games is currently working on Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, due out this Winter.
 Electronic Arts today announced it is all eliminating paper game manuals and reducing printed materials in its packaged products by 40 percent. The publisher says this initiative will apply to all PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC games worldwide going forward.
 EA is tweaking its cover athlete selection process once again for Madden NFL 12. Today, the publisher announced it would let fans once again vote for the cover and unveiled a 32-man tournament bracket with one representative for each team in the league. Over five rounds--each lasting a week--fans will whittle down the field until only one option remains.
 Bioware confirmed that there's one more piece of downloadable content coming for Mass Effect 2. Dubbed "Arrival," we don't know much about the new missions aside from some leaked Trophy descriptions. One theory is that the content has something to do with the Reapers arriving from dark space and will help bridge the gap between Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 3, which is scheduled to release this fall.  Dragon Age: Legends isn't like other Facebook titles because it's an actual game. You can catch up on the basics of Dragon Age: Legends here, but the gist is that you play as a mage, warrior or rogue and participate in turn-based battles. You also get to build a bitchin' castle.
Still, the best thing about playing the Facebook game is that you can unlock items to use in Dragon Age II. Want more specifics? You're in luck.  Since its release in November, Black Ops sold 13.7 million units in the U.S. combined across Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, Wii, and Nintendo DS, according to retail tracking firm NPD.

Recent job postings on networking website LinkedIn, first discovered by Beyond3D, reveal the company is hiring positions to work on next-generation console architectures in its Xbox division.  Epic announced a host of new features in their Unreal Engine 3 development platform today at this year's GDC, the biggest of which is support for DirectX 11 and its assorted tools. The problem is, for most people, these kind of announcements might as well be in Sanskrit, they're full of tech jargon that goes right by the average gamer.

 Despite the less than kind reception for the last Transformers film, the most recent Transformers game, War for Cybertron, was pretty well liked around the office. With that in mind, I was excited to hear from Activision this week that Transformers: War for Cybertron developers High Moon will bring the official game for Transformers: Dark of the Moon to Xbox 360 and PS3 this summer.
